Volunteer Information
The Oregon Chapter of the American Fisheries Society relies heavily on volunteers to keep the Annual Meeting affordable, efficient, and fun. Volunteering is a great way to meet new members, assist the chapter, serve your profession, and help justify the cost of attending. Volunteer opportunities (and contact people) include:
· Become a Mentor at the student-mentor social (Shivonne Nesbit, Shivonne.nesbit@oregonstate.edu)
· Help judge student papers and posters (Mike Hudson, michael_hudson@fws.gov, 360-604-2500)
· Assist with poster board set-up and take-down (Demian Ebert, daebert@pbsj.com 503-222-7275)
· Assist with the raffle / auction (Christy Fellas, Christy.fellas@yahoo.com, 503-231-2307 )
· Assist at the registration desk ()
· Play at the Jam Session (Information to come)
· Assist the Imbibements Committee in acquiring and wrangling beverages (Position Open - Volunteers Welcome!)
